These terms govern your use of zaplugg.com ("ZAPLUGG", "we", "us"). By using the site, creating an account, listing a service or sending a booking request, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
ZAPLUGG is a marketplace. We publish listings from independent service providers ("vendors") and let customers find them and send booking requests. We are not the provider of any service listed on the site. Every vendor operates their own business and is solely responsible for the work they do, the prices they set, their conduct, their licences and their tax affairs.
ZAPLUGG is early. Listings currently published on the site are demonstration listings, shown while real vendors are onboarded. Payment is not yet processed on ZAPLUGG: a booking request is an enquiry, and any money changes hands directly between the customer and the vendor, off the platform. We will update these terms before that changes.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your password secure. Give us accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misrepresents who it belongs to, or puts other users at risk.
You may only publish listings, photographs, portfolio items and links for work you are genuinely able and legally permitted to carry out. You must own or have permission to use every image you upload, and you must have the consent of anyone identifiable in it.
You may not publish content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, hateful, or that impersonates another business. You may not misrepresent your experience, qualifications or past work. You may not use ZAPLUGG to advertise services outside the categories the site is for.
You are responsible for holding any licence, permit, insurance or certification your trade requires under Nigerian law or the law of the place you work.
A booking request is a request, not a confirmed contract. The vendor decides whether to accept it. Once accepted, the agreement for the work is between you and that vendor. Prices shown are set by the vendor and may change depending on the specifics of the job; agree the final price with the vendor before work begins.
Satisfy yourself about a vendor before engaging them. Look at their portfolio, ask questions, and use your judgement — particularly for work in your home or around children or vulnerable people.
You keep ownership of everything you upload. By uploading it you give ZAPLUGG a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and reproduce it for the purpose of operating and promoting the marketplace. You can remove your content at any time; copies may persist in backups for a period afterwards.
We may remove or hide any content that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe is misleading, unlawful or harmful, without notice.
Reviews, when enabled, must reflect a genuine experience. Writing, buying, soliciting or incentivising a fake review — for yourself or against a competitor — is a serious breach of these terms and grounds for permanent removal from the platform.
Listing on ZAPLUGG is currently free. If we introduce fees or commission, we will publish them on our Pricing page and give existing vendors notice before they take effect.
We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or availability of any service listed, nor the accuracy of anything a vendor publishes about themselves. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. The site is provided on an "as is" basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZAPLUGG is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or dispute arising from a service arranged through the site, from dealings between a customer and a vendor, or from content published by a user. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Disputes about work, payment or conduct are between the customer and the vendor. We may, at our discretion, help by providing records we hold, but we are not an arbitrator and we do not hold or refund money.
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where continued access would harm other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licence, liability, disputes — do so.
We may update these terms as the platform develops. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Material changes will be notified to registered users. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact page.
